3 Ways To Use Truvani Turmeric

One of the most unique qualities of our Truvani Daily Turmeric Supplement is that the tablets are uncoated, so you can use them in recipes at home. This is great for people who have difficulty swallowing tablets, or simply don’t like popping pills.

This supplement is REAL FOOD after all. This is just one way that Truvani Turmeric is so remarkable and different from other supplements on the market. Not to mention – the first USDA Certified Organic and Glyphosate Residue Free turmeric on the market! In this new video, I give you three delicious ways to enjoy your Truvani Turmeric…

# 1.  Make a nourishing tea!

Simply pop a turmeric tablet in a mug and pour over it with hot water to instantly make hot turmeric tea. Tea is something that I enjoy daily and is one of my favorite rituals. This tea is great when you are traveling too – the tablets hardly take up any room in your bag and are so easy to drop in hot water at the airport or wherever you are!

#2.  Whip it into a smoothie!

Add up to three tablets (per serving) to virtually any of your favorite smoothie recipes. I love adding superfoods like turmeric to my smoothies to get the most nutritional punch that I can. This citrus smoothie is satisfying and almost like a decadent creamy milkshake – but super healthy!

This soothing drink is perfect before bedtime. It’s really relaxing and helps to take the edge off. I like to drink my golden milk like a little dessert after dinner and that’s why I add maple syrup to it. You can take out the maple syrup if you want, or use coconut sugar or honey instead – any of those would be equally delicious.

  1. I have received my Turmeric, love it and all the stands behind it! I was wondering though….. Would taking 2 tablets a day instead of 3 have the same effect? I already drink at least 2 cups of turmeric tea most days so I am getting the benefits from that as well . Just wondering! Keep up the awesome work and I am looking forward to more products from Truvani!!!

    1. Annie – This all depends and it’s best to check with your health care provider on specific dosage for your individual needs.

  2. I was wondering about using canned coconut milk instead of making the homemade coconut milk that you once gave a recipe and did a video for? The canned is obviously easier IF you can find one with no added ingredients and which has ONLY the 1 ingredient as you mention here. But if you have made your own coconut milk and it is in the refrigerator already… do you just use the liquid part or do you mix the hard part at the top into the liquid before measuring out 2 cups?

  3. I have heard that turmeric is a blood thinner. Will taking it cause you to have nose bleeds and if so is that dangerous? Also, is having sweeteners like honey or maple syrup bad for blood sugars, especially since my husband is a diabetic? Oh, and will the cinnamon in the golden milk counteract the maple syrup making it not bad for blood sugars?

  4. Thank you for the fruit smoothie idea ! But In order to take 3 pills of your turmeric vitamins – I’d have to make a smoothie everyday ! I don’t want a smoothie every day ! I want to be able to take the turmeric vitamins every day with the coating on them ! I do know – and have known for a long time how healthy Tumeric is .

  5. Vani,
As much as I’d like to try your Truvani turmeric I’m afraid to— every time I’ve tried other turmeric supplements I’ve developed tachycardia at like 185 bears per minute—- I fear I might be allergic .
    Ideas?

  6. Would I have to take all three at the same time or one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one before bed?

  7. On your label it says to take 3 pills per day, preferably with a meal and water or as recommended by a health care professional. Can you spread the three pills out during the day or should you take the three all at once. Does it matter?

Love the bottle design. Thanks for the recipes!!

  8. Great article! I loooove turmeric. Anyone interested in this stuff should definitely check out the book Everyday Roots. It teaches you how to replace all the toxic chemicals in your life with healthy organic alternatives. Its completely changed my life and how I feel everyday! 🙂

Heres a great review of everday roots: http://reggiesreview.weebly.com/everyday-roots-review.html

    Keep up the great content!

  9. I have been using your Turmeric for about 2 wks now and so has my husband. We are both 75 years young and have both been extremely athletic in our younger days. I ran many marathons, snow skied, water skied, mountain biked, and trained a young green horse. My body has some aches and pains that I just live with (although I do get Rolfed once a month) use a bioMat, and have a personal sauna and refuse to use over the counter pain meds. I started taking your Turmeric one morning and within 20 min my pain was GONE!!! I now take about 4 a day spaced out and the last one is just before bed. I will never be without this amazing pain killing (among other wonderful benefits) product. Thank you for making this available. I am also telling all my friends who have abused their bodies also.

  10. I tried the turmeric in hot water as a tea for a few days and noticed that my throat was very scratchy and felt off on those days. I even had a hoarse voice. At first I thought I was getting sick but wondered if it was the turmeric. It doesn’t happen when I don’t take it. Even swallowing the pills has this effect but milder. I’ve taken other turmeric supplements without experiencing this. I bought 3 bottles and really want this supplement to work for me. Any ideas what could be happening?

  11. Hi, I am interested in this supplement, however, I am breastfeeding. Is it safe to take?
    Thank you!

  12. I understand that turmeric contains substances that support kidney health and that it is a source of potassium. Someone who has a kidney disease has to limit the amount of potassium in his/her diet. May I know how much potassium in milligrams is in one tablet of Truvani Turmeric Curcumin? Thank you.

  13. For the smoothie, what could I use instead of yogurt and papaya? Also, what would the measurement be for one tablet – 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp? I use loose turmeric everyday and though I haven’t noticed any particular significant difference in how I feel, I know it’s good for me and keep using it. I make a wonderful tonic in the morning – 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1/2 lemon squeezed, a heaping 1/4 tsp. turmeric, a quick dash of black pepper and even less red pepper, honey to just sweet and cinnamon on top. It’s wonderful to start the day.

  14. Good Morning Vani! =) Ok so, here’s my take on the Golden Milk Steel Cut Oats from the cookbook. First, let me say that I don’t have the turmeric pills so I used 1 tsp. ground turmeric, like you suggested. The oats are very very tasty, but a little too sweet for my liking, so next time, and yes I will definitely be making them again, I will cut down on the raw local honey I used from 2 tbsp to 1 tbsp and see how that is.

Thanks so much for all you do for the Food Babe Army!!! 😉

  15. Hi Vani,

I really enjoyed learning so many things from your article, blog, book etc except video. I am unable to be accessing for CC ( caption closed) on videos for hearing impaired which that CC is provided. Do you think it is possible to add CC service on video in a near future?

  16. Is there a benefit to mixing the turmeric tablet in drink/food vs. just swallowing it like a pill? That’s a lot easier for me to do daily. Although the recipes do look great:)

    1. Hi Sandy! No additional benefit in adding to recipes, but we do suggest taking the turmeric supplement with a meal. We are just showing here that Truvani Turmeric tablets are unique and give people more ways of using them if they prefer not to swallow the tablets whole.

  17. Curcumin is poorly absorbed, so it’s best to get a supplement that also contains piperine/bioperine, which has been shown to enhance its absorption by 2,000% (22Trusted Source).
What are your thought about this statement?
